Straight talk on teacher quality

Here is a link to a recent Annenberg Institute publication that should be must reading for those interested in teacher quality.  Unlike some simplistic statements on the subject that are being put forward by various politicians and educational critics, this publication includes attention to the connection between the community and teachers and stresses the importance of multiple measures of teacher performance.
